Hace un par de temporadas ya se armó una buena con el tema de las “bodas express“, que en su momento mediante un acuerdo entre la FEB, ACB y la ABP se consiguió no aceptar comunitarios asimilados. El procedimiento era sencillo, el jugador extranjero de “turno” llegaba a España con el hándicap de su nacionalidad, ya que los clubs tienen limitadas sus plazas para los foráneos, pero amparados en el Real Decreto 178/2003 podían conseguir la condición de comunitarios asimilados, mediante una sencilla “boda express” con cualquier “muchacha” comunitaria, en muchas ocasiones ofrecidas por el mismo club.
Pero el escándalo vuelve a la actualidad con el ‘caso McDonald’por su participación en la Supercopa, ya que el americano consiguió su plaza de comunitario asimilado tras contraer matrimonio con una española, matrimonio que los rumores califican de “conveniencia“.
Problemas y más problemas, la ACB contraataca y la FEB se defiende con un par comunicados de prensa (I y II).
¿La Supercopa no es un torneo oficial?…mmmm…
Y ahora el diario deportivo Marca destapa “el escándalo de las bodas timo y de los pasaportes”, aunque eso sí, lo hará en su edición impresa. Se va a armar una buena…
